Originally from Slovakia, I followed my heart Aotearoa-New Zealand, in 2003. I have a life-long passion for helping people and a strong drive for learning and innovation. Upon arriving in NZ, I decided on a complete career change from linguistics and graduated in medicine and surgery from Otago University in 2009. I worked within NZ and Australian Medical systems for 12 years. I had found the conventional medical approach too reductionist, not delivering lasting results for many patients. My inquisitive mind has always been pushing me to look outside of the box. Alongside allopathic medicine, I studied and trained in a variety of complementary therapies. I started my own practice in 2021.
In my practice, I endeavour to connect, hear people out and appreciate the whole person, within their unique context, respecting their believes and opinions. My management is tailored to the unique needs, of the person in front of me. I am thorough and look for root causes. I aim for wellbeing and address all modifiable factors, wherever possible. I put a lot of emphasis on prevention. I work in partnership with my patients and other health and wellbeing professionals.
I aim for wellbeing- inside and out, whatever that may mean to the person.
Three principal beliefs guide me:
1. We are complex beings. Our humanity reaches far beyond our biology, physiology or biochemistry. In order to truly thrive, we need to attend to all our human needs, including physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, environmental.
2. In order to really solve a problem, we need to find the root cause, and effectively address it, as well as its drivers.
3. Many answers lie within us and can make themselves available via inner awareness and enquiry.

Having spent the first 45years of my farming focused life on me and furthering my achievements in a very structured organized way, I met life’s challenges in a very staunch and logical way too. This included death of our first child, post natal depression, bullying by an employer, with the backdrop of a busy and physical farming life raising 4 teenage daughters’. When the wheels fell off and traditional thinking didn’t work and I found myself in midlife having achieved some huge material goals, without the expected happiness. It was then I started a journey of self exploration to find the elusive happiness.
10 years on and I now love to focus on helping others’ who are stuck. Together we identify and release the invisible blocks that internally prevent us from seeing and experiencing happiness and a better quality life.
I love to facilitate insights and emotional release in my clients with the fast, simple and effective tool of Emotional Freedom Techniques. Using it on myself first to heal past traumatic events that my brain was using to keep me safe AND innocently stuck, I love to share this with those I work with.
EFT, also known as Tapping, provides safe, gentle and immediate relief from mental, physical and emotional issues including depression, PTSD, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, grief, food cravings, the list is endless. The practice has been trialed using the American Psychological Associations criteria, for evidence based therapy’s.
Now that I know what is possible, I care that you too find freedom from mental, physical and emotional pain, to live a better quality life.

I will support and guide you to take a holistic approach to your health and wellness, empowering you to look at all areas of your life that need nourishment and to make positive lifestyle choices to support your vibrant well-being. Most chronic illnesses today are preventable through lifestyle change. My last two pregnancies left me washed up and confused with where to start any kind of exercise. How did I know if what I was doing was safe and correct for my needs?
Being a personal trainer – I thought I’d have all the answers. I’ve had two breech pregnancies and two C-Sections with rather large babies. Although I was fit, my body wasn’t functionally ready for the major event of pregnancy or the recovery.
I have been on my own journey of recovery and learning which has led me to get certified in this subject. My mission is to support women by educating them on the fundamentals on the most effective way to prepare their bodies for pregnancy, birth, and post-partum.
I aim to be the person that I needed during these times. I can provide ladies with the correct specific support and guidance they need at such a vulnerable time.
Pregnancy can create long term issues and aggravate historical injuries; I know that there are lots of women just putting up with conditions they think are normal. It is common to pee while sneezing, but its not normal. While Prenatal can mean 6 months prior to conception and post-partum can mean your kids are 40.

I live in Waitati with my husband, Bob, on our small farm, along with 3 working cats, 8 free-range hens, and our flock of sheep. I love drawing and creative writing. As well as walking, the beach, and re-learning how to cycle and swim. Weekends are extra fun when our 3 granddaughters visit.
